National Weather Service Issues High Winds and Heavy Rain Notice for Tonight
Gusts up to 60 mph and heavy rain could topple trees and power lines.

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch for Thursday night into Friday. High winds and heavy rain is expected for the entire Lehigh Valley area until Friday evening.
The forecast also calls for heavy rain and sustained winds between 20 and 25 mph for Friday with gusts up to 60 mph at times.
"Downed trees and tree limbs could take power lines as well as damage vehicles parked under them," the weather service statement said. "Winds will make it difficult to drive high profile vehicles especially on bridges and overpasses."
The National Weather Service advises residents to continue monitoring future forecasts in advance of the storm.
