Palmer Pool Opens to Help Alleviate the Heat

Palmer Township Community Pool will be open today thanks to the unseasonably hot weather.

The pool was originally scheduled to open on weekends only until June 22, the end of the Easton Area School District’s school year. But with classes throughout the district going to a half-day schedule over the next few days, township officials decided to open the pool earlier than planned. 

On Tuesday, the district announced it would be going to a half-day schedule from June 7 through June 13 due to extremely hot temperatures. Temperatures over the next few days are expected to remain in the high 90s.

The pool will open at 12:30pm and will resume its normal schedule of weekends  next week.
