The storm didn’t just usher in heavy rain, wind and ice pellets, but a sudden 20-degree drop in temperature after two very summer-like days with highs above 80.

The National Weather Service forecast says it will now stay significantly cooler at least through the weekend, as high temperatures are not expected to go much beyond 60 through Sunday.
