Police: Nazareth Girl Sexually Assaulted by Ex-College Police Officer

A 24-year-old former Muhlenberg College police officer is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old Nazareth girl inside her home and e-mailing her sexually explicit photos.

Faced with 33 charges for the alleged sexual assault of a girl 11 years his junior, a 24-year-old former Muhlenberg College police officer surrendered to authorities Friday, according to Nazareth Police Chief Thomas Trachta.

Nicholas Repko-Moschini, of 1404 N. New St., Bethlehem, was arraigned by on-duty District Judge Todd Strohe of Bangor and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.

On June 5, according to a police criminal complaint, the 13-year-old girl told Officer Stephen Schleig that she had been sexually assaulted more than a month earlier by Repko-Moschini at her Nazareth home.

The conversations, according to court records, lasted from April to May and became increasingly sexual in nature.

On April 16, Repko-Moschini allegedly asked the girl to send an electronic image of her breasts. Using her e-mail account, police say, the girl obliged.

The photo-sharing didn’t stop there, according to police. Between April 10 and May 11, Repko-Moschini allegedly sent the girl 20 separate messages, each sexual in nature.

At least four of the messages contained photos of Repko-Moschini’s penis and his upper and lower torso, according to court records.

Other messages sent by Repko-Moschini, police say, requested sexual acts.

The relationship stepped out of the digital realm when Repko-Moschini arrived at the girl’s Nazareth home.

According to court records, not only did Repko-Moschini kiss the girl, but he also fondled her naked breasts, had her perform oral sex and attempted intercourse.

Repko-Moschini left shortly after the alleged assault, according to police. The two did not speak again until May 11, when Repko-Moschini allegedly sent the girl an iPhone photo of his erect penis.

Repko-Moschini has been charged with:

  • Involuntary deviate sexual intercourse – person less than 16 years of age
  • Unlawful contact with minor – sexual offenses
  • Criminal attempt – unlawful contact with a minor – sexual offenses
  • Statutory sexual assault – 8-11 years older
  • Aggravated indecent assault – person less than 16 years of age

According to Jillian Lowery, director of college communications at Muhlenberg College, Repko-Moschini is no longer employed at the college.

Lowery did not know when his employment status changed. She added that the college could not comment further on Repko-Moschini or his case.

Repko-Moschini is, as of press time, listed in the college's staff directory as a Campus Police Reserve Officer.
