Police: Student Threatened to Burn Teacher’s House

An18-year-old Easton Area High School student threatened to burn down his teacher's house Thursday, saying he wanted her to die, according to police.

Trevor Gilbert, an 18-year-old student, was charged Thursday with threatening to burn down a teacher’s house, according to police reports.

He allegedly told his teacher, Lisa A. Moore, that he wanted her to die after she disciplined him in class.

Moore reported the incident to , saying Gilbert was agitated and emotional. Gilbert was arrested, charged with making terroristic threats, harassment in the form of lewd and threatening language and disorderly conduct, according to court documents.

He was taken to Northampton County Prison, but was later released on bail.

The Express-Times reports that Gilbert was also ordered to stay away from the high school and his teacher, Moore.
