1 Hospitalized After Boat Capsizes In Manayunk Area: Police
A 12-person dragon boat capsized near where the Wissahickon Creek meets the Schuylkill River in Manayunk, Philadelphia police said.
MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — A dozen boaters were rescued from waters in Manayunk Tuesday morning, according to Philadelphia Police.
Police said emergency crews were called to the 4900 block of Ridge Avenue, where Wissahickon Creek meets the Schuylkill River, at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
A 12-person passenger dragon boat capsized in that area, police said.

Crews from the Philadelphia Police Marine Unit responded and rescued those who were on board the boat.
One person was taken to Temple University Hospital, police said. Their condition is unknown.
