PHILADELPHIA — More than 1 million people are expected to cheer on the Super Bowl LIX Champions Philadelphia Eagles during Friday's parade and celebration, according to officials.
The parade will step off from Broad Street and Pattison Avenue at 11 a.m. on Friday.
It will head northbound on Broad Street to South Penn Square, westbound on South Penn Square to 15th Street, northbound on 15th Street to John F. Kennedy Boulevard, westbound on the boulevard to 16th Street, northbound on 16th Street to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, westbound on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to Eakins Oval, ending at Philadelphia Museum of Art apron.

A formal program will take place in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art from 2 p.m.
Video screens will be placed along the parade route that will show the parade, and before the parade begins the screens will show Super Bowl LIX.

The ceremony at the museum will host ASL translators on stage during the speaking portions of the program that will be broadcast on the jumbotrons.
Parade producers have designated space on the south side of Eakins Oval for wheelchairs and ADA accessibility. This space is limited and is first come, first served. Paratransit drop off locations for the celebration will be located at 2300 Pennsylvania Avenue and 20th and Spring Garden Streets.
The Eagles Autism Foundation and city are creating resources for the parade. There will be a recommended viewing area, access to the mobile sensory unit, and sensory bags available. There will be a visual schedule and additional proactive measures for families bringing someone with autism to the parade.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday's weather is expected to be sunny with a high of about 37 degrees. Windes are prediected to be 10 miles per hour, with gusts up to 25 miles per hour. Friday night will be mostly cloudy with a low of 26 degrees.
Road Closures
There will be significant travel delays on Friday due to road closures.
Additional road closures and lane restrictions may be necessary during the event to maintain public safety.
Commuters should allow for extra time on Friday morning, however, as there may be residual delays as operations return to normal.
Drivers are advised to avoid the parade route and museum area by using alternate routes and allow for extra driving time when traveling in the vicinity. Please refrain from double-parking, which creates congestion, limits traffic flow and is illegal.
If driving into Center City is necessary, commercial off-street parking lots and garages are located near the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Broad Street.
Streets will begin to reopen as early as conditions allow on Friday with the full extent of closures in place until about 6 p.m. Most streets should be reopened before the 7 a.m. Saturday. A detailed list of closures and restrictions by date is listed below.
Wednesday
The inner lanes (inbound and outbound) of Benjamin Franklin Parkway will be closed from Eakins Oval to 20th Street will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday. This closure will not be in effect during the morning and evening rush hours. Cross streets will remain open to traffic throughout.
Thursday
The inner lanes (inbound and outbound) of Benjamin Franklin Parkway from Eakins Oval to 20th Street, top of the Oval, and inbound Kelly Drive will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday. This closure will not be in effect during morning and evening rush hours, and cross streets will remain open to traffic throughout.

Cross streets will be reopened south to north on Broad Street, and elsewhere along the parade route, as early as conditions allow on Friday.
Saturday
The inner lanes (inbound and outbound) of Benjamin Franklin Parkway from Eakins Oval to 20th Street will be closed from 6 p.m. on Friday, February 14 into the overnight hours. Cross streets will remain open to traffic throughout, and all roads will be open prior to noon on Saturday, February 15.
During the parade, several bicycle lanes along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Broad Street, and streets in the vicinity will be inaccessible. Cyclists are advised to use caution when traveling in the area. There will be no access to the Schuylkill River Trail from the rear of the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Friday. Westbound travel on the Schuylkill Travel will terminate at Paine Skate Park.
On-Street Parking Restrictions
Temporary no parking restrictions along the parade route and on adjacent streets will commence at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The full extent of these restrictions will be in place until approximately 6 p.m. on Friday.

Please obey all “Temporary No Parking” signs. Vehicles parked in these locations during posted hours will be relocated.
There will be no enforcement of meter and time limit regulations on Friday. Safety violations such as parking too close to the corner, fire hydrants, blocking crosswalks and double-parking will be enforced.
Public Transportation
Market-Frankford & Broad Street Lines [B & L]
Thanks Kevin Hart's tequila brand Gran Coramino, rides on both lines are free on Friday.
To get to the Broad Street Line, customers can connect from multiple bus routes at Fern Rock Transportation Center, Olney Transportation Center, and other stations.
Trains on the Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines will run approximately every six to eight minutes starting just before 5 a.m. on Friday.
The entire 15th Street complex will be closed including City Hall, MFL 13th Street, Metro Trolley 13th & 15th Street, and Suburban Station on Regional Rail.
SEPTA will utilize as many rail cars as possible to provide added capacity for riders.

Regional Rail
Regional Rail service will operate only to-and-from selected stations. Service to Center City will be available via Jefferson and 30th Street stations, which are a short walk from the parade route.
There will be no service at Suburban, Penn Medicine, or Temple University stations.
SEPTA is urging customers who are planning to use rail services to arrange to be dropped off at or near their station. Parking will be limited at SEPTA stations and surrounding locations, and available spots are expected to fill up quickly.
Pre-parade, Regional Rail service will operate only inbound to Center City. This will then be reversed for outbound-only service after the event.
Below are the outlying stations that will be open on each line:
- Airport Line: Eastwick, Terminals A, B, C/D and E/F. 30-minute service throughout the day.
- Chestnut Hill East Line: Chestnut Hill East and Wyndmoor.
- Chestnut Hill West Line: No train service. Customers can use Chestnut Hill East.
- Cynwyd Line: No train service.
- Fox Chase Line: Fox Chase Station.
- Lansdale/Doylestown Line: Doylestown, Lansdale, North Wales, Ambler, and Fort Washington.
- Manayunk/Norristown Line: Elm Street, Norristown Transportation Center, and Manayunk.
- Media/Wawa Line: Wawa, Media, and Primos.
- Paoli/Thorndale Line: Thorndale, Exton, Paoli, Wayne, and Bryn Mawr.
- Trenton Line: Trenton, Levittown, and Cornwells Heights.
- Warminster Line: Warminster and Jenkintown-Wyncote.
- West Trenton Line: West Trenton, Woodbourne, Langhorne, and Philmont.
- Wilmington/Newark Line: Wilmington, Marcus Hook, and Norwood.
Bus, Trolley, Norristown High Speed Line & CCT Paratransit
A number of bus routes that operate on and around the parade route in South Philadelphia and Center City will be detoured.
City Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34 and 36 will not stop at 13th or 15th Street Stations, and additiona adjustments are possible.
The Routes 101 and 102 Trolleys and the Norristown High Speed Line will stop at all stations, with service every 15 minutes.
CCT Paratransit will operate regular weekday service, although travel could be significantly impacted by rolling road closures and heavy pedestrian traffic. If possible, SEPTA encourages customers who are planning trips for medical care facilities near the parade route to reschedule their appointments.
Fares Accepted
- SEPTA Key Card with Travel Wallet funds or valid Weekly/Monthly Pass
- Contactless (credit and debit cards, Apple & Google Pay) on buses and trolleys
- Senior, Reduced, or CCT Fare Card
- Special One Day Event Pass Available for $10. This pass is valid for one person to take as many as 10 trips across all SEPTA modes. Special One Day Passes must be purchased in advance at a sales office. Passes not used on the Parade Day can be used for another date of customer’s choosing.
Cash and credit cards will not be accepted on board Regional Rail trains.
Safety
The Philadelphia Fire Department will staff EMS tents at the following locations:
- 24th Street & Benjamin Franklin Parkway (south side)
- Pennsylvania Avenue and Spring Garden Street
- Aviator Park
Take missing or lost persons to either of the medic tent locations listed above or notify a Philadelphia Police Officer immediately.
Alpha-numeric location markers are posted along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to clearly and easily identify a location or section (by letter and number, example: CD-1).
Officials urge fans sign up for the City’s ReadyPhiladelphia public information and alert system by texting READYEAGLES to 888-777.
Leave no bags or items unattended. In an emergency or to report a suspicious person, activity or item (a backpack, a package, a container), notify a police officer immediately or call 9-1-1. Do not try to open, move, cover or touch a suspicious item.
Normal residential trash and recycling collection will be suspended on Friday. The Sanitation Department will operate on a holiday schedule and will be delayed by one day. Residents with a normal collection day of Friday should place their trash and recycling on Saturday.
All Philadelphia municipal government offices will be closed on Friday. These closures include Philadelphia Park and Recreation’s recreation, environmental, and older adult centers. City daytime centers will also be closed. City after-hour intake centers will operate 24 hours thereafter and through the weekend.
All Philadelphia public and parochial schools will be closed Friday.
All Courts and Philadelphia Courts offices will be closed. If you are scheduled for Jury Duty on Friday, do not report for service. You will be rescheduled at a later date. All critical Court services are expected to remain operational.
