Keon King, 21, Wednesday was charged with kidnapping for ransom, false imprisonment, stalking, tampering with evidence, recklessly endangering another person, and criminal use of a communication facility in connection with Scott's disappearance. He is being held on $2.5 million bail, court records show.

Physical evidence related to Scott's disappearance was found Wednesday at the abandoned Ada H. Lewis Middle School on Ardleigh Street.

Later Wednesday, investigators located a vehicle tied to her disappearance in the parking lot of the Gypsy Lane Condos in East Falls after getting a tip on its whereabouts.

Authorities searched the Awbury Arboretum area without success, then the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force joined the search for Scott, as well as anyone she may have encountered.

King has a prior history of similar conduct, authorities said. Earlier this year, he was charged with kidnapping and strangulation involving a woman that was known to him. That case was withdrawn due to the witness failing to appear in court, authorities said.

However, that case has been refiled.

Anyone who has information on Scott's location is urged to contact police at 215-686-8477
