2 Teens Shot During Attempted Car Theft Tuesday In Philly: Reports
Two boys, both 13 years old, were shot Tuesday night in West Philadelphia, police said. They are being held for further investigation.
PHILADELPHIA — Two teenage boys were shot Tuesday night in Philadelphia, according to police. Reports state the two were involved in an attempted car theft when they were shot.
The boys, both 13 years old, were shot at about 6:13 p.m. at 5900 Windsor St. in West Philadelphia.
Police were called to the area for a report of gunshots and found the boys.

One was shot in the buttocks and the other shot in the upper thigh.
Both were taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where they are in stable condition.

Police said a witness told them the shooting stemmed from an alleged attempted vehicle theft.
Action News reports the vehicle's owner got a call from a neighbor who told him his vehicle was being broken into.
The man went to confront the group of four people, and one is reported to have pulled out a gun, which led the man to fire at the group, striking two of the boys, according to Fox 29.
NBC10 reports the man is cooperating with police and is permitted to carry a firearm.
The boys are being held for further investigation.
