$5M-, $3M-Winning Lottery Tickets Sold At 2 Philadelphia Businesses

Two Philadelphia businesses sold winning Pennsylvania Lottery tickets, one worth $5 million and the other worth $3 million, recently.

PHILADELPHIA — $8 million in prizes have been awarded to two Pennsylvania Lottery players who bought tickets in Philadelphia recently, officials said.

According to the Pennsylvania Lottery, a $5 million-winning $5,000,000 Lion’s Share Scratch-Off was sold at Lin Harbinson Inc. (Philly’s Beverage), 5840 Harbison Ave. $5,000,000 Lion’s Share is a $50 game that offers top prizes of $5 million.

Additionally, a $3 million-winning 3s a Charm Scratch-Off was sold at Guavaberry Foods & Drinks, 776 South 4th St. 3s a Charm is a $30 game that offers top prizes of $3 million.

Each retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning tickets.

As a reminder, scratch-off prizes expire one year from the game's end-sale date, posted at palottery.com. Winners should immediately sign the back of their ticket and call the lottery at 1-800-692-7481.

Scratch-offs are distributed at random, meaning the Pennsylvania Lottery and its retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold. The lottery learns where winning tickets are sold only after a prize has been claimed.

All lottery prizes more than $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding.
