PHILADELPHIA, PA — An arrest warrant issued last week for State Rep. Kevin Boyle has been withdrawn, according to the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office.

District Attorney Larry Krasner at a news conference Monday said the warrant for his arrest was issued due to a violation of a protection from abuse order.

However, Krasner said a key piece of information was missing from the report written up by the police detective who was the sworn affiant on the warrant.

Krasner said the protection from abuse order was not in effect on the dates of Boyle's alleged violations of said order.

"This does not mean one way or another that Mr. Boyle committed no crime," he said. "That is a matter to be determined later."
