Beef Stolen From Truck In Northeast Philadelphia: Reports

The truck driver, who was hauling frozen beef from Nebraska, chased off about 12 masked bandits with a baseball bat early Monday morning.

PHILADELPHIA — Another meat heist has reportedly taken place in Philadelphia, and again the target was beef.

According to CBS Philadelphia, the theft occurred at about 2 a.m. Monday at Norcom and Red Lion roads in Northeast Philadelphia.

At that time, about 12 people driving four separate vehicles broke into a trailer and were stealing pallets of frozen beef from inside it, Action News reports.

The driver, who was hauling the meat from Nebraska, heard the commotion, came out of his truck, and chased the thieves off with a baseball bat, according to NBC10.

In total, four pallets of frozen beef were taken. A value for the stolen beef was not provided.
