  1. The Philadelphia 76ers have traded Ben Simmons for Brooklyn Nets star guard, James Harden. The MVP was traded to Philadelphia for Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two first-round picks. Simmons has held out playing for the Sixers for the entire 2021-2022 season. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
  2. A Philadelphia woman was found dead on the Pennsylvania Turnpike; investigators have determined the cause of death was suicide. The 24-year-old woman was found on Feb. 6 near milepost 21.2 in Plymouth Township. Police have withheld the woman's identity and method of suicide. (Philadelphia Patch)
  3. The City of Philadelphia is looking to fill 400 lifeguard positions at city pools this summer. The Red Cross is offering certification classes for candidates looking to apply for the positions. To pass the hiring screening, lifeguards need to be able to swim 300 meters without stopping, tread water for two minutes, and retrieve a 10-pound brick from the bottom of the deep end. (WPVI-TV)
