- According to reports, Philadelphia police officers shot a murder suspect to death on Tuesday on the 2000 block of South Beechwood Street in Feltonville. Officers responded to a radio call about 36-year-old Thomas Maisano, who was supposedly armed with a knife and accused of stabbing his aunt earlier this week. When officers arrived, they say they tried to talk to Maisano but were unable to convince him to drop the weapon. (FOX 29 Philadelphia)
- Carjackings in Philadelphia are on pace to break last year's record. So far this year, there have been more than 140 reported carjackings in the city, compared to just 244 in 2019. The number of carjackings is on track to exceed the record number of carjackings of 757 in 2021. (Temple Update)
- On Thursday afternoon, three people and a teen girl were caught in the middle of a gun battle outside of a pharmacy in East Germantown. The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m. on the 100 block of West Chelten Avenue. (CBS Philly)
