- On Wednesday morning, a man was shot in the head during a drive-by shooting in North Philadelphia. The victim was reportedly sitting in his car on the 2200 block of Cecil B Moore Avenue when a dark Ford SUV fired shots. He is currently in critical condition and no arrests have been made yet, according to officials. (FOX 29 Philadelphia)
- Solarize Philly, a city program, is looking to increase solar households across Philadelphia during Earth Month. The program installs solar panels to houses as affordably as possible. Their goal is to go from over 900 panels to 1,000 by the end of April. (WPVI-TV)
- Legendary Philly jazz radio host Bob Perkins announced that he will retire from his full-time role on WRTI. Perkins, who has worked at WRTI for 25 years, made the announcement on his program. He will begin to scale back his time on-air this summer. (PhillyVoice.com)
