Community Rallying After Man Killed In Philadelphia Plane Crash

Steven Dreuitt was the only person killed in last week's crash who was not aboard the plane. A GoFundMe is raising money for his funeral.

PHILADELPHIA — Community members are rallying behind the family of a Philadelphia man who died in last week's plane crash.

Philadelphia Police Wednesday identified Steven Dreuitt, 37, as the only person not aboard the flight to be killed. Six people aboard the plane died.

Dreuitt's God sister Shakirah Hill has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help his mother and sister with his funeral costs.

"Steven was a beloved father, son, uncle, and brother who will be missed tremendously," she wrote.

One of Dreuitt's sons, Ramsses Vazquez, was severely burned in the crash and is in critical condition at a Boston facility.

"His mother and sister are trying to gather the strength to handle this day-to-day as it unfolds while preparing for Steven's homegoing service," hill wrote. "The family appreciates any donation given; no amount is too small."

As of Friday morning, the GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $12,880 of a $20,000 goal.
