- A horrifying crash left two people dead in West Philadelphia Sunday morning. Police say that a Dodge Charger ran a red light at 52nd and Walnut Streets and crashed into a Hyundai. Two of the three passengers in the Hyundai died; the third victim was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. Eight people were reportedly inside the Dodge Charger at the time of the crash. The driver and one passenger were seriously injured, while the other six were injured and taken to the hospital. (WPVI-TV)
- A man is dead after being allegedly struck by a vehicle in North Philadelphia on Sunday morning. Police found 64-year-old Dondra Wade at the 3200 block of Fox Street at 2:13 a.m. According to police, Wade's injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead 15 minutes after being discovered. No arrests have been made as of Sunday evening. (FOX 29 Philadelphia)
- As kids are heading back to school, a local company is putting together a back-to-school drive. The North Philadelphia company, Brownskin Girls LLC, reached out to friends, family, and neighbors to fill 100 backpacks without any sponsors.
