'Dawg Mentality:' Eagles Covering Pet Adoption Fees At Local Shelters

PHILADELPHIA — In case you missed it, the Philadelphia Eagles are heading to the NFC Championship Sunday, hosting the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field.

And as the Birds continue their playoff run, they are teaming up with local animal rescue groups and shelters to help dogs and cats get adopted.

Through their playoff run, the team is covering adoptions fees at three local shelters.

The team will pay the fees as long as they remain in the post season for adoptions at Providence Animal Center in Media, Street Tails Animal Rescue in Philadelphia, and Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center in Blackwood, New Jersey.

The initiative aims to remove financial barriers that may prevent local animals from finding their forever home.

"This is an amazing opportunity, and we are grateful to the Eagles," Jo-Ann Zoll, CEO of Providence Animal Center, said. "There's no doubt that partnering with them will bring visibility to these animals, which is key."
