Domestic Flights Resume In NJ, PA After FAA Outage

Domestic flights out of airports in New Jersey and Pennsylvania were delayed Wednesday morning amid a nationwide FAA outage.

Domestic flights out of airports in New Jersey and Pennsylvania were delayed Wednesday morning amid a nationwide Federal Aviation Administration outage.

The FAA lifted the ground stop, and flights at the Newark Liberty International Airport resumed as of 9 a.m., the FAA announced. But resuming normal operations around the nation will be gradual, and thousands of U.S. flights remain delayed or canceled as of 9:30 a.m.

The FAA said Wednesday morning it was working on restoring its Notice to Air Missions System. The agency said that it would provide frequent updates as it made progress.
