PHILADELPHIA — The FBI has released photos of two men who robbed an armored truck and shot its driver in October 2023 in South Philadelphia.

The robbery occurred at about 2:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Bank of America, 1950 South Christopher Columbus Boulevard in Philadelphia.

A Brink truck was servicing an ATM at the branch when one Brinks employee was approached by the two suspects, one of whom was armed with a black handgun with an extended magazine, according to authorities.

The Brinks driver tried to fight off the suspects and, in the process, one of the suspects took the driver’s duty firearm, the FBI said.

One of the suspects shot the driver in his side, and when he fell to the ground, the suspects kicked him in the head.

The suspects got a bag of money from the driver, then drove off in a 2022 Chevy Malibu, which was abandoned in West Philadelphia.

Authorities later recovered the vehicle.

The suspects are described as black men with thin builds who wore all black clothing and black ski masks.
