Feds Nab Deadly SEPTA Transit Center Shooting Suspect

PHILADELPHIA — Federal authorities have apprehended a man they said is responsible for a deadly shooting at a SEPTA transportation center that happened more than a year and a half ago.
According to the U.S. Marshals, Benjamin McClain, 32, was taken into custody on the 2600 block of Wolf Street in Philadelphia Thursday.
McClain was wanted for a March 25, 2024, double shooting in the 1500 block of Arrott Street.

Authorities allege he shot a 33-year-old man at about 4:50 p.m. that day at the Arrott Transportation Center, then fled the scene.
The victim was shot once in the chest and was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital at 5:17 p.m., according to police.

Another man was shot once in his back and twice in his left leg, police said.
