- Summer has begun and the kiddos are at home. Philadelphia Magazine has put together a list of things to do with kids this month. From the Philadelphia Flower Show in FDR Park to skating at the Rothman Roller Rink, these are all great ideas for your family to enjoy. (Philadelphia magazine)
- Temperatures are going up and so are gas prices. According to a new report from AAA, the Philadelphia area now has an average regular unleaded gas price of $5.06 per gallon. Prices are a bit lower in South Jersey at $4.94, and $4.81 per gallon in New Castle County, Delaware. (CBS Philly)
- Doctors saved a baby boy after his pregnant mother was shot dead early Saturday morning on a Philadelphia street. According to police, 19-year-old Mataya Haynes of Camden, New Jersey was shot near Richmond Street and Wheatsheaf Lane around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday. Detectives say the shooter was driving a dark-colored Chevrolet Camaro or Dodge Charger. Haynes was about 34 weeks pregnant at the time of the shooting. (NBC)
