Home Burglar Fatally Shot In Philadelphia: Reports

A man who forced his way into a home in the Angora neighborhood was fatally shot by one of its residents late Monday night, reports state.

PHILADELPHIA — A man has died after a homeowner fatally shot him as he tried to force his way into the property, according to reports.

The incident began at about 11 p.m. at home on the 1100 block of Cobbs Creek Parkway, NBC10 reports.

The residents, a couple in their 60s, were home when they noticed someone trying to get inside the home.

According to Fox 29, the husband confronted the man, 64, and the man broke the front door open.

That's when the husband fired one shot, fatally striking the man, who later died at a hospital.
