- On Monday, Philadelphia officials announced that masks will be required for indoor spaces. The change includes masking in restaurants, gyms, retail stores, and schools. As COVID-19 cases rises, the city moved into its "Response Level 2: Mask" precautions. The new mandate will go into effect on Apr. 18. (WHYY)
- A man who pointed a laser at a police helicopter in Northeast Philly was sentenced to a year in prison and a $1,000 fine. Raji Yusuf pled guilty to pointing a high-intensity laser at a police helicopter last summer. The light caused helicopter pilots to see spots in their vision. (PhillyVoice.com)
- Two suspects are wanted for a robbery at a Southwest Philadelphia deli that occurred last week. The robbery took place on the afternoon of Apr. 6 at the JYM Deli on the 5000 block of Hadfield Avenue. Two suspects held the clerk at gunpoint and took $200. (FOX 29 Philadelphia)
- As the Philadelphia 76ers clinch the 4th seed of the Eastern Conference, they'll head into the NBA playoffs without a key starter. The 76ers will play the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the playoffs. Forward Matisse Thybulle is not fully vaccinated and therefore cannot play in Toronto due to Canada's vaccine mandate.
