- Two men were injured in a drive-by double shooting in Philadelphia's Kensington section early Friday morning. A 27-year-old man and a man in his 30s were shot outside of a convenience store on the 1800 block of East Somerset Street. Both victims were taken to a local hospital and are in stable condition. (WPVI-TV)
- One person was found dead after Philadelphia police entered a building after a Brewerytown barricade situation. On Friday on the 1500 block of N. Dover Street, police entered a building and found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound. It is not known if the wound was self-inflicted or if someone else shot the victim. (WPVI-TV)
- Starting on Dec. 31, Philadelphia employers will be required to offer commuter benefits. On Thursday, a bill passed in Philadelphia City Council that will require employers to provide workers with benefits toward covering mass transit or bicycle commuting expenses. Mayor Jim Kenney is expected to sign the bill once it is reviewed by the city’s legal department. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
