Here are the top three stories today in Philadelphia:

  1. A Philadelphia man died just feet from his home on Tuesday night. Nearly 17 shots were fired at the man near his home along Walker Street in Northeast Philadelphia, according to police. Officers responded to a call at about 10:30 p.m. and rushed the bleeding 34-year-old to the hospital, where he died a short time later. Witnesses told police that three men had approached the victim before the shooting. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
  2. The police are investigating a suspicious death after a man's body was found floating in the Delaware River. The body was found near Bidgesburg on Wednesday morning near the 3200 block of Buckius Street. As of Wednesday evening, no further details have been released. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward. (CBS Philly)
