Here are the top three stories today in Philadelphia:
- A 19-year-old man was fatally shot and another was brought to the hospital early Sunday morning. According to police, at least 10 shots were fired at the incident, which took place around midnight on Sunday. The shooting happened along Clearfield Street in Kensington. - One person is dead after being struck by a SEPTA train on Sunday. The Lansdale/Doylestown train, which was headed to Center City, hit the victim at the Pennbrook station. As of Sunday evening, the victim has not been identified, nor is there any word on what caused the incident. (Daily Voice)
- The hot weather is taking its toll on public transit. Significant delays have been reported for Amtrak train service over the weekend due to the heat. According to officials, the heat has caused speed restrictions on the tracks. This has especially caused delays between New York and Philadelphia. (CBS Philly)
