Man Sought For Shooting Girl In Philadelphia Apprehended: Feds
Members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force took Alfredo Marrero into custody Tuesday.

PHILADELPHIA — The man wanted in connection with the shooting of a 7-year-old girl in Philadelphia was taken into custody Tuesday.
Philadelphia Police said Alfredo Marrero, 30, fired shots that hurt a 7-year-old girl at about 7:13 p.m. Oct. 28 on the 3000 block of North Marshall Street.
The girl was riding in a vehicle with her mother when the vehicle was hit by gunfire, police said. She was shot in her left arm and taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she was placed in stable condition.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday learned Marrero was hiding in a house on the 3700 block of North Percy Street.
Marrero was found with a woman and taken into custody without incident. He was then transported to Philadelphia Police Headquarters for processing.

"The shooting of a child under any circumstance is unacceptable and can never be justified," Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force, said. "We wish this 7-year-old victim a full recovery and hope this arrest can bring some relief to the family."
The Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force is a team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.
Membership agencies include the Philadelphia Police Department, Pennsylvania State Parole Officers, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Attorney General Agents, Immigration Customs Enforcement, Chester Police Department, Bucks County Sheriffs, and Delaware County Sheriffs.
