  1. The Philadelphia School District officials announced that middle schools will begin periodical weapons screenings starting on May 9. This is already standard practice at high schools and will now be implemented in middle schools. The new policy is in response to the surge of gun violence in Philadelphia. (CBS Philly)
  2. On Thursday morning, Philadelphia police ran into the streets in order to wrangle goats. Two goats were running in the middle of a Kensington street and police put them in the back seat of their vehicle. At this point, it is unknown where the goats came from. (CBS Philly)
  3. Francis Decero, a missing man, has been found dead in South Philadelphia. Decero was reported missing on Apr. 26. He was found dead in the brush on Douglas Street with trauma to his head. (FOX 29 Philadelphia)

  • With new property reassessment values being posted soon, Mayor Jim Kenney has proposed a package of relief measures and reductions in the Wage Tax. These measures will ensure that the revenues resulting from new assessments are put directly back into the hands of taxpayers. (Facebook)
