No ICE Agents At Philly Elementary School: Officials
The principal at Julia De Burgos Elementary School in Philadelphia said rumors of ICE agents at the school are untrue.

PHILADELPHIA — School District of Philadelphia officials Friday dispelled a rumor regarding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at one of its school.
Bianca Reyes, principal of Julia De Burgos Elementary School, said ICE agents have not been seen near or on school property.
The clarification comes after comments or postings on social media alleged ICE agents were at the school.

"At the School District of Philadelphia, the safety and well-being of students and staff is our top
priority," Reyes said. "We are committed to creating supportive learning environments where every child and family feels safe, welcome and included in their school community. And we believe that every parent or guardian should feel confident in sending their child to school."
The rumor comes the day after ICE raided a business in Newark, New Jersey, during which they detained several people, including a military veteran, without a warrant.
