  1. One man is dead and seven others are injured after a violent weekend. According to police, those among the victims included two 15-year-olds and a 31-year-old man who is listed in stable condition despite being shot multiple times in the head.   2. Artists are at work in the Tiny Room For Elephants art festival. The Cherry Street Pier event is a three-week arts festival featuring 43 artists. The participants will create large (10'x12' or 10'x6') panels inside the enclosed pier. The event offers artists an opportunity to interact with the public while making their art, rather than waiting until after. Artists will continue working for up to three weeks through Jul. 24.   3. Police are searching for a suspect in an electric wire theft case. According to police, the man entered a Lowes store around 6:30 p.m. and stole multiple items. The things stolen include ceiling fans and rolls of electrical wire. Reportedly, the stolen items were given to an unknown accomplice.
