Here are the top three stories today in Philadelphia:

  1. Philly will have to wait a bit longer for the completion of the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge. The bridge, south of Sweetbriar and near Girard Avenue, will remain inaccessible until 2025. This is the third time that the bridge rehabilitation project has been pushed back. Click the link to learn more. (WPVI-TV)
  2. Ukrainian refugees are receiving free support from a women's clinic in town. Rittenhouse Women's Wellness Center on Pine Street has opted to take on more patients for free to support Ukrainian refugees arriving in the U.S. According to a nurse practitioner at the center, treating patients from other countries can be extremely complicated and requires extensive research on medications and conditions. (FOX 29 Philadelphia)
  3. Memorial Day Weekend Travel is expected to be at its busiest since 2019, according to AAA. Officials at the Philadelphia International Airport say that travel is still down since 2019, but it has risen about 36 percent since last year. The increased travel won't be without a price tag. The average price of gas in Pennsylvania is $4.87 per gallon. (CBS Philly)
