Philly Dog Reunited With Deceased Owner's Family After 3 Years Missing
Bentley was reunited with his owner's sister in Tennessee after he was missing for three years, Animal Care and Control Team Philly said.
PHILADELPHIA — A dog who was missing for more than three years has been reunited with the family of his deceased owner.
Animal Care and Control Team Philadelphia said Bentley came into their shelter in early May after being found wandering the city.
Luckily, Bentley has a microchip, which Animal Care and Control Team (ACCT) scanned and reached his owner's sister.

"From our call with her, we learned Bentley’s owner passed away and he has been missing for over 3 years from Memphis, TN," ACCT said on social media. "After speaking with Dee and expressing she wanted to reclaim Bentley as he is all she has left of her sister, we knew we had to figure out a way to get Bentley to her."
Throughout May, ACCT has worked to get Bentley to Memphis, and even looked into volunteer pilots to fly Bentley home.

"Last week we were able to connect with Whiskers, Tails & Scales Transport," ACCT said. "On 5/28, Bentley was transported to Tennessee, and yesterday, he was reunited with Dee who was overjoyed to be reunited."
This was all possible thanks to donations to ACCT's P.E.T.S Fund.
