  1. A Philadelphia jury will hear the case of a deadly 2015 Amtrak crash where the car was derailed. Amtrak engineer Brandon Bostian was operating a train car going twice its speed limit which ultimately derailed, killing 8 people and injuring 200. Bostain's charges include causing a catastrophe, involuntary manslaughter, and reckless endangerment. (WPVI-TV)
  2. Philadelphia-area gas prices are now averaging nearly $4 per gallon. The exact amount is $3.92 a gallon. Officials are unsure of how high gas prices will rise but believe they'll continue to rise into the summer. (WPVI-TV)
  3. SEPTA will be receiving $96 million in funding from the American Rescue Plan. Sen. Bob Casey said on Thursday that SEPTA would be getting the sum and will make a formal announcement on Friday. SEPTA is looking to improve public transportation and add additional services. (Philadelphia Patch)
