- A Philadelphia man is being charged with the murder of his pregnant ex-girlfriend at a gas station. Rafiq Thompson turned himself into police yesterday morning for shooting and killing his girlfriend in King of Prussia. Tamara Cornelius was reportedly shot last week while getting gas for her car by the King of Prussia Mall. Thompson is now being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility, according to officials. (CBS Philly)
- The 10th annual Philadelphia Latino Film Festival has narrowed down its selections for 2022. This festival showcases the works of Latino/a/x filmmakers from around the world. The 2022 PHLAFF will take place between May 29 and Jun. 5, and the current list of selections can be found here. (AL DIA News)
- There was a shootout just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at North Front and Cambria streets and one person was reportedly left in critical condition. Police found evidence that at least 24 shots were fired from two separate guns, which hit a corner store and two parked cars. During the investigation, officials say a man with multiple gunshot wounds turned up at a hospital in critical condition. They learned that he became involved in the shootout when he allegedly fired back after being shot at from a vehicle. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
