  1. Philadelphia police officer Ramon Chaulisant has been charged with threatening and assaulting his former partner and the mother of his children. Chaulisant was taken into custody on Aug. 5 and charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, harassment, and other related crimes. The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office says Chaulisant physically struck the woman in the face and body at her home while visiting his children in February. Officials say the couple's four children were present during all three incidents. (WPVI-TV)
  2. A Philly woman has sued Meta, alleging she became addicted to both Facebook and Instagram. Laurel Clevenger, 21, says this addiction harmed her life and the lives of many users. A former Facebook executive testified that the company intentionally made its products as addictive as possible and even took โ€œa page from Big Tobaccoโ€™s playbook.โ€ (Philadelphia magazine)
  3. On Tuesday night, Police spotted a Jeep Cherokee speeding through North Philly. When the vehicle finally stopped, the police found a shooting victim in the backseat. The police rushed the victim to the hospital, where he was declared in critical condition. The situation is still currently under investigation. (CBS Philly)
