Pig Dubbed 'Snoop Hogg' Found Wandering In Philadelphia
Snoop Hogg is available for adoption at a Lehigh County animal sanctuary after he was rescued in Philadelphia back in October.
PHILADELPHIA — A young pig was rescued from the streets of Philadelphia and has been put up for adoption under the new name "Snoop Hogg."
According to Lehigh County animal rescue group The Sanctuary at Haafsville, Snoop Hogg was taken to Animal Care and Control Team Philadelphia in October after he was saved from the city streets.
"He had severe mange and an eye issue along with some behavioral issues," the group said on social media.

Snoop Hogg got the medical care and comfort he needed, and rescuers say he's "doing great."
"He loves everyone... is picky on his dog friends, but has a cat buddy that he shares the office with," the group said of the 6-month-old pig.

Snoop Hogg is now up for adoption, and rescuers said he will weigh close to 100 pounds when fully matured.
"Pigs are very smart and need companionship," the group said. "He loves to snuggle under his blankets at night and loves to go for long walks in the woods."
Staff at XXX chose "Snoop Hogg" from a list of suggested names that included Pumba, Samson, Alexander Hamilton, and Ruckus.
