- On Thursday evening, a pizza delivery driver shot and critically injured an attempted carjacker in Kensington. The incident occurred at the 3300 block of H Street around 7:40 p.m. When the carjacker attempted to hold up the pizza driver who was working, the driver shot the suspect multiple times. (CBS Philly)
- Two Philadelphia-based Starbucks locations have filed petitions to unionize. This is in conjunction with a wave of Starbucks workers attempting to unionize across the national chain’s shops. The two Starbucks locations are at 600 9th Street and 1945 Callowhill Street. (WHYY)
- The Northeast Philadelphia Walmart recently sold a scratch-off ticket worth $3 million. Walmart earned a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The Walmart is located at 9745 Roosevelt Boulevard. (Philadelphia Patch)
