1. On Thursday evening, a pizza delivery driver shot and critically injured an attempted carjacker in Kensington. The incident occurred at the 3300 block of H Street around 7:40 p.m. When the carjacker attempted to hold up the pizza driver who was working, the driver shot the suspect multiple times. (CBS Philly)
2. Two Philadelphia-based Starbucks locations have filed petitions to unionize. This is in conjunction with a wave of Starbucks workers attempting to unionize across the national chain’s shops. The two Starbucks locations are at 600 9th Street and 1945 Callowhill Street. (WHYY)
3. The Northeast Philadelphia Walmart recently sold a scratch-off ticket worth $3 million. Walmart earned a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The Walmart is located at 9745 Roosevelt Boulevard. (Philadelphia Patch)
