- A man who kidnapped and robbed postal workers in Philadelphia was sentenced to almost 22 years. The federal prison sentence comes after the man pleaded guilty to charges in September 2021. The man robbed postal workers using a fake handgun to steal packagesand forced one worker to drive him for several blocks. (Philadelphia Patch)
- Officers not in compliance with City of Philadelphia vaccine mandates will face consequences beginning May 31. According to city officials, 97 percent of police officers have received at least one COVID-19 vaccination shot or had a request for medical or religious exemption approved. Nearly all remaining officers have submitted exemption requests that are still under review. (WPVI-TV)
- A man is in critical condition after being shot several times in Germantown on Monday night. The shooting took place in the 5300 block of Newhall Street near midnight. According to police, the victim is in his late 20s or early 30s. Officers say the shooting may have been the result of a robbery. (CBS Philly)
