- A former Philadelphia Catholic priest will be handed his sentence this week after pleading guilty to lying to federal agents in connection to a child sexual abuse case. Robert Brennan was charged in a corruption case regarding the sexual abuse of a minor that allegedly happened decades ago. According to reports, Brennan lied to FBI agents when interviewed in 2019. (Philadelphia Patch)
- Temple University is experiencing a rise in undergraduate applications. Temple received 38,000 applications for the Fall 2023 semester. This is a five percent increase from last fall. (Temple News)
- John Carne, the owner of two local Philadelphia restaurants, has returned from volunteering in Poland where he helped feed Ukrainian refugees.
