Residential Burglary Pattern Under Investigation In Philadelphia
The string of residential burglaries began Sept. 7 on the 800 block of South Alden Street. The most recent incidents were on Nov. 7.

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police are investigating a residential burglary pattern in the city that they said has developed over seven incidents beginning in late September.
The first incident happened at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 27 on the 800 block of South Alden Street.
A black man with a medium build, light complexion, and chin-length dreadlocks got into a property on that block through a font window. After getting inside, he stole electronics and clothes, police said.

He was wearing a light skull cap, light colored pullover hoodie with a logo on the front, and a large backpack.
The next incident was Oct. 14 on the 900 block of South Conestoga Street. Police said sometime between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m., someone got into a property on that block and stole various items, valued at $1,700.

There was no suspect description.
The next morning, another property on that block was burglarized. Police said someone got inside the property and stole various food items valued at $100. According to police, the victim believes the suspect may have entered the property using a key stolen in the Oct. 14 burglary.
The suspect was described as a black man who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with white lettering on the leg, black sneakers, and a black backpack.
A property on the 5700 block of Beaumont Street was targeted next. That burglary happened between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. Oct. 17. The suspect got into the property through the front window and stole items totalling $3,000 in value, police said.
No suspect description was given.
On Oct. 20, someone got into a property on the 5200 block of Webster Street at about 5:21 a.m. through a basement window. After getting inside, they took various items with a total value of $1,450. The suspect, who was not described, left the property through the back door.
Another property on the 5700 block of Beaumont Street was hit next, this time at 3:17 a.m. on Nov. 7. Police said someone got into the property through a back door, then took a black MacBook Air, valued at $1,000. The suspect, a man, left through the back door, which triggered an alarm.
Police described the suspect as a black man who was wearing a black mask, all dark clothing, black sneakers, and a dark backpack.
And a second incident occurred Nov. 7, as well, and again on the 5200 block of Webster Street, police said. In this case, the victims were asleep on the second floor in their home on that block when at about 5:44 a.m. they were awakened by their dog barking. They found someone leaving the rear of the property, fleeing west on Webster Street.
Police said the suspect entered the property through a basement window, and then took a brown leather backpack containing various bank cards, IDs, and other miscellaneous items missing, valued at $800.
The suspect was described as a black man who was wearing a black mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers, and a black backpack.
