- Thursday's storms left major damage to some Philadelphia residents and streets. Parts of Roosevelt Boulevard in Nicetown have washed away, creating a large pothole. Multiple cars that were parked on the street were also damaged by the rainfall. Police closed the Boulevard's outer lane in the area for the Streets Department so crews could make emergency repairs. (WPVI-TV)
- On Thursday night, a mother and her 5-year-old son were shot inside their Harrowgate home. According to police, a gunman fired 21 shots into the house from a vehicle, hitting them in bed. The pair is in stable condition and no arrests have been made yet. (CBS Philly)
- Interstate 76 East and West will see overnight closures next week in parts of Philadelphia. Alternating closures will take place from 9:oo p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday of next week. PennDOT will be repairing the roads and highways structures. (Philadelphia Patch)
