SEPTA Canceling Some Regional Rail Trains Tuesday

The train cancellations are still lingering after SEPTA was required to inspect its fleet of Silverliner IV railcar fleet.

PHILADELPHIA — Despite SEPTA completing its federally mandated inspection of its Silverliner IV railcar fleet, it is canceling some Regional Rail trains Tuesday.

The 802, 809 and 814 trains on the Chestnut Hill West and Fox Chase lines will be canceled during the peak morning hours Tuesday.

And SEPTA said the following trains will be canceled on those same lines later Tuesday:

Due to these cancellations, riders will find fewer cars for each train, causing crowded conditions and skipped stations, especially stations closer to Center City.

SEPTA has provided detailed information about service impacts riders can expect for the remainder of this year. Riders can also find alternative options for travel for all Regional Rail lines.
