SEPTA Cancels Thursday, Friday Regional Rail Trains Due To Fleet Inspections

A slew of trains on the Airport, Chestnut Hill West, Fox Chase and Warminster lines are canceled Thursday and Friday due to inspections.

PHILADELPHIA — SEPTA has yet again canceled trains on four Regional Rail lines as it works to inspect its fleet of Silverliner IV railcars, as required by federal authorities.

The following Airport, Chestnut Hill West, Fox Chase and Warminster line trains scheduled for Thursday and Friday morning are canceled:

  • 412
  • 425
  • 802
  • 809
  • 814.

Later Thursday and Friday, the following additional trains will be cancelled on the Airport, Chestnut Hill West, Fox Chase and Warminster lines:

SEPTA said riders will again find fewer cars for each train, causing crowded conditions and skipped stations, especially stations closer to Center City.

Riders of those impacted trains should use SEPTA's Alternative Service or the trip planner to plan their commutes.

This marks the fourth day this week that SEPTA has canceled Regional Rail trains as it works to meet the Sliverliner IV railcar inspection deadline Friday.
