  1. The Philadelphia 76ers have announced their "Assists for Safe Communities" initiative, in which eight players will donate $760 per assist recorded by the team during Games 1-4 against the Boston Celtics to local gun violence prevention organizations. The players have each selected a specific organization to donate to, ranging from youth development programs to victim support and trauma services. The Sixers hope to use their platform to help address the serious issue of gun violence in their communities. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
  2. Philadelphia has started enforcing parking restrictions for street sweeping, with more than 2,200 tickets issued on the first day. The program, which is part of a $62M investment over five years to clean streets, targets 14 neighborhoods and will see different blocks cleaned on different days. The initiative has received criticism from some residents, with fines of $31 being imposed. (WPVI-TV)
  3. Police are searching for two persons of interest, 15-year-old Taj Lennon and 22-year-old Tyree Lennon, in connection with a quadruple shooting that left three teenagers dead and another injured in Philadelphia.
