Shane McHugh, a devoted father, loving fiancé, and dedicated police officer of the 6th Police District in Philadelphia, has tragically passed away on March 15, 2023. Shane was a man with an infectiously big smile and the world's biggest heart. He shared a deep bond with his fiancée, Catina, whom he considered his soul mate.
Shane served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and during the first few years of their relationship, he and Catina were separated by long distances. Despite this, Catina spent countless hours thoughtfully curating care packages for Shane and doing whatever she could to bring him peace, hope, and comfort while he was deployed. Catina was Shane's rock, and he was hers.
Shane and Catina shared a beautiful son, Theodore McHugh, who they prayed so hard for. Shane was a devoted father who loved his family more than words could ever describe. He worked hard in the police department to provide for them while Catina took on the role of a full-time mom to raise their son.
During this difficult time, we need to be there for Catina and Theodore. To help them navigate this new life without worrying about future financial burdens, please consider donating to their cause. Let us honor Shane's memory by supporting his loved ones during this challenging time.
$40,000 has been raised so far.
We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to Catina, Theodore, and all those affected by Shane's passing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
