Temple University Marching Band Joining Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
The Temple University Diamond Band is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year by marching and performing in the legendary parade.

PHILADELPHIA — A little bit of Philly will be featured in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York Thursday.
The Temple University Diamond Band, "The Pride of the Cherry and White," will join the storied parade for 20205.
And their appearance in the parade is part of the celebration of the band's 100th anniversary this year.

Led by Dr. Matthew Brunner, the 200-member ensemble features mostly non-music major musicians.
They’ve performed at major events like the Sugar Bowl and appeared in major films like "The Wolf of Wall Street."

This is their first-ever appearance in our Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The parade starts at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and will air on NBC.
Performers this year include Busta Rhymes, Darlene Love, Teyana Taylor, Gavin DeGraw, and so many more.
The parade will feature 34 gigantic balloons, 28 floats, 11 marching bands, 33 clown crews, and 4 "balloonicles" in tow.
