- Philadelphia Police are reporting that a 14-year-old boy has been hospitalized after being shot in West Oak Lane early Wednesday. The shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. when the teenager was shot in the leg. The boy's mother drove him to a local hospital. It is unclear who shot him or if he may have shot himself. (CBS Philly)
- On Tuesday night, a man was shot during an attempted carjacking in Philadelphia's Olney section. A 25-year-old man was shot in the arm after refusing to give up his car. The two suspects fled the scene and the man was taken to a local hospital. (CBS Philly)
- First Friday, Philadelphia's monthly small business showcase event, will be hosted for the first time in Olde Kensington on American Street. The indoor and outdoor fiesta market will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will feature live music, empanadas, and free yoga. Over 40 vendors will be on sites selling homemade products.
