A woman died after she was struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning in West Philadelphia, according to police.
PHILADELPHIA — A woman died after being struck by a vehicle in West Philadelphia this weekend, according to police.
Philadelphia Police said the woman was fatally struck at about 2:40 a.m. Saturday on the 4000 block of Girard Avenue.
A 2010 Nissan model was heading east on Girard when the woman, 52, crossed the street in the middle of the block, according to police.

The woman was struck and taken to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, where she was pronounced at 3:03 a.m., police said.
The Nissan driver stayed at the scene.
