  1. A woman was reportedly set on fire in Kensington on Friday. According to a GoFundMe page set up by a family friend, the 36-year-old suffered severe burns and is currently in a medically induced coma. Police found the woman after responding to reports of a rubbish fire in the 1800 block of East Tioga Street. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward. (ABC 6)
  2. A portion of Chestnut Street will be closing this weekend for SEPTA work. According to PennDOT, the street will be closed between 39th Street and 41st Street from 7:00 a.m. on Friday to 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Detours have been identified for drivers traveling north or south. Motorists are advised to take some extra travel time if they expect to go that way. (Philadelphia Patch)
  3. Curious about the Chinese Lantern Festival? The Philadelphia Inquirer put together a complete guide to the event. The event runs from Jun. 21 to Aug. 7 every day between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The lanterns, which will hang in Franklin Square, are free to see during the daytime but will require tickets after 6:00 p.m. Tickets will be available on-site or online.
